Problem: A leading coffee manufacturing plant had T12 fluorescent light fixtures throughout its facility and wanted to reduce its energy costs.
WESCO Solution: In association with Philips Lighting, WESCO conducted a comprehensive facility lighting survey and recommended replacing the old T12 fixtures with T8 fixtures equipped with 850 series lamps for greater energy efficiency and better quality lighting.
The first phase of the upgrade involved the replacement of 55 fixtures. WESCO negotiated project pricing of $71.35 per fixture with the manufacturer - $14.14 less per fixture than the plant had previously paid. In addition to better illumination, the new lighting yields $5,631 in energy cost savings each year.
